When travelling with good friends, we elect someone to be the bank for a period of time and load them up with equally contributed funds to take care of the meals, local sites, transportation etc. A single bill works well !!!
My observation is that learning three little words “Hello”, “Please”, and “Thank you” spoken in the local language, no matter what country you visit, is always appreciated and rewarded!
Make sure when packing your carry on to include a change of clothes and a bathing suit. You never know when your luggage could arrive or get lost. Also, its nice to be able to go for a quick dip when arriving at your hotel without having to depend on when your bags will arrive.
